History

On the 22nd of August 1946 the steel lighter Swallow, built in 1908 by W Simons & Co in Renfrew, Scotland, and registered in Sydney was scuttled in the Sydney Disposal Area. 

The ex hopper barge, steam cargo vessel and Grafton train ferry was 62.7 metres long and weighed 859 tons, and was used for the transport of coastal cargo.
