History

The Absalam was wrecked on the Macleay River bar near Trial Bay in 04/1863.

The Absalam was a 25-ton wooden ketch built by David Roberts on Brisbane Water in 1853.  The vessel had a length of 14.8 metres and a beam of 3.9 metres.  Owner at the time was Mr. J. Hubbard and the Master was J. Fraser.
