History

On the 29th of May, 1909 the Narara sprang a leak during a trip from Sydney to Hawkesbury River 2miles SE off Little Reef, Barranjoey, Broken Bay. 

The 71 ton wooden screw steamer was 24.3 metres long and powered by a compound engine.  The Narara was built in 1900 in Jarvis Bay, NSW, and registered in Sydney for the transport of general coastal cargo.
