History

The Acielle was wrecked 15 miles south of Smoky Cape on the 11/09/1929 while on a voyage from Sydney to Derby.

The Acielle, a 40-ton wooden ketch, was  built in 1908.  The vessel was owned at the time by Australian Iron and Steel Co., and the Master was Captain Ken Smith.
