This report is part of the technical report series developed for the NSW Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Program. It describes the data layers that were developed and data sets used to create a snapshot of the state’s native vegetation resource condition.

In line with the New South Wales Natural Resources: Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Strategy 2010–2015, the target was to increase native vegetation extent and improve native vegetation condition by 2015.

The NSW BioNet Vegetation Information System is the NSW Government’s central repository for native vegetation data.
