These parks help to protect a largely natural catchment and vegetation communities that are in very good condition as a result of a long history of conservation-focused management and care by the Dharawal people.
This is the second plan of management for the parks’ and aims to support the Aboriginal community in caring for Country, as well as providing opportunities for low-impact visitor activities and maintaining high levels of water quality and wildlife corridors in the park.
This plan of management should be read in conjunction with the Dharawal National Park, Dharawal Nature Reserve and Dharawal State Conservation Area Planning Considerations (2022).
