The NSW Government has set an ambitious goal of securing threatened species in the wild for the next 100 years. The NSW Koala Strategy (2018-21) set out the first phase of actions to achieve this goal for koalas with the objective to stabilise and then increase koala numbers over the longer term, ensuring genetically diverse and viable populations across New South Wales.
