Image library

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DIE) image library gives you access to more than 25,000 images, including photos of our NSW national parks and cultural heritage, people and the environment, and native plants and animals of NSW. Images of environmental issues, including waste, erosion and pests and weeds, are also available.

Register now to get the most out of the image library

You can view a selection of images by using the Image Search facility. Users who want to see a wider selection of the images the photolibrary has to offer, need to register. You need to be registered to download watermarked positionals or order images.

Broad terms and conditions apply to the use of images, and there are generally charges for photographs. Additional conditions, specific to particular images, might also apply.

Where payment is required, this can be done by cheque or by phoning in credit card details. Online payment is not yet available.

Contributing to the image library

Photographers are welcome to contribute to the online image library, however all photos must be supplied with catalogue information in the format required. Model and location releases must also be available.

If you are interested in submitting work, the first step is to send 6-10 low resolution samples to Image Librarian.
