Murramarang South Coast Walk closed for storm damage assessment
Following extensive storm damage including fallen trees, beach erosion and damage to the track, the Murramarang South Coast Walk is currently closed.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has closed the walk until at least the end of August while clean up crews assess and repair the damage.
After the recent heavy rain event in the South Coast, NPWS is advising walkers and campers to double-check campsites and other visitor areas are open before traveling south.
Before leaving home, check park closure updates on the NSW national parks alerts page at https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/alerts/alerts-list.
See livetraffic.com for the latest on road closures. For your safety, always follow road signage directions and never drive into floodwaters.
It is also important people book campsites at https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation
For existing campground bookings impacted by this severe weather event and park closures, NPWS has notified customers and provided full refunds.
