This review examines the efficacy, appropriateness and outputs of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage investment model for undertaking bushfire research, in particular, the returns on investment in the Centre for Environmental Risk Management of Bushfires at the University of Wollongong.

The review’s primary objective was the extent to which this research portfolio generated knowledge to underpin primary management objectives and research priorities for NSW National Parks ‘Living with Fire’ strategy.
