This booklet is one of a series that records the stories of Aboriginal women in New South Wales. The booklets were part of a project designed to raise the profile of the unique historical experiences of Aboriginal women.

The series won the 'cultural heritage' category of the Energy Australia National Trust Heritage Awards in 2005.

This booklet creates awareness about the diverse circumstances and life experiences of Aboriginal women living in western New South Wales. The Aboriginal women tell stories about their lives, their experiences, memories throughout Australia’s pre-contact and settlement history.
