The booklets were part of a project designed to raise the profile of the unique historical experiences of Aboriginal women. In this publication 9 Aboriginal women Elders tell about their working lives and memories across the south coast landscape. Their stories centre on Nowra, and include recollections of life at the Bomaderry Children's Home, and how life was for Aboriginal people in Nowra in the early days.
