The Upper Hunter Air Quality Monitoring Network Spring 2019 Seasonal Newsletter provides an overview of air quality in the region during the spring 2019 period (1 September to 30 November 2019).
Air quality in the Upper Hunter was greatly affected by the continuing intense drought conditions and unprecedented extensive bushfires during spring 2019, resulting in poorer air quality throughout the region. Muswellbrook and Singleton recorded very good to fair air quality indices within national benchmarks 71% and 74% of the time, respectively.
