The Dharawal parks are located approximately 45 kilometres south-west of Sydney between the Georges River and Illawarra Escarpment.

The parks lie on the Woronora Plateau, which forms part of the southern rim of the Sydney Basin. Situated in the upper reaches of O’Hares and Stokes creeks, the parks encompass almost the entire catchment of these creeks.

The parks are in the traditional Country of the Dharawal People.
