OEH Prosecution Guidelines
This document provides a set of guidelines to follow for prosecution activities under legislation that protects conservation, national parks, natural and cultural heritage, plants, animals and threatened species.
- 1 October 2016
- Office of Environment and Heritage
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment – Environment, Energy and Science (the former Office of Environment and Heritage) is not the only body that may institute criminal proceedings under environment protection legislation. Organisations such as the NSW Environment Protection Authority may also bring proceedings under legislation they administer.
These guidelines are consistent with the EPA Prosecution Guidelines.
