The aim of the strategy is to minimise the impacts of pests on biodiversity, protected areas and the community. The document lists common pests and preferred control methods. Pest animal priorities for the region include foxes, wild dogs and the removal of horses from Kosciuszko National Park. Critical pest weeds include orange hawkweed.
