In response to these concerns and following recommendations from an independent inquiry, the NSW Government committed to identify the research needed to develop a proper understanding of what is affecting water levels.

This report focuses on identifying knowledge gaps that currently limit our understanding of the hydrological dynamics of Thirlmere Lakes.
