Wooyung Nature Reserve Plan of Management
Wooyung Nature Reserve is located on the far north coast of New South Wales between Pottsville and Wooyung. The reserve consists of 87 hectares of coastal land bisected by the Tweed Coast Road. It includes approximately 2.5 kilometres of Mooball Beach and Wooyung Beach.

Wooyung Nature Reserve contains littoral rainforest, lowland rainforest on floodplain,
coastal wetland and coastal dune vegetation communities. The reserve lies in an
area characterised by high species diversity. The coastal lowlands of the region also
provide important wintering grounds for altitudinal and latitudinal migratory fauna.
Most recreational use of the reserve is concentrated on Mooball Beach. Popular
activities include fishing, walking and bird watching.
