This document is the pest management strategy for the Far South Coast Region and covers the southeast forest areas of NSW stretching between Batemans Bay in the north, and the Victorian border in the south. The region extends inland to include the southern escarpment and parts of the Southern Tablelands including the major towns of Bombala and Braidwood.
South East Forest National Park and Egan Peaks Nature Reserve are adjoining reserves that together cover 117,644 hectares of rugged escarpment country west of Bega and Eden in south-eastern NSW. The two areas are part of a system of conservation reserves along the great eastern escarpment and are linked to other reserves that protect the coastline and coastal hinterland.
This fire management strategy incorporates South East Forest National Park including Egan Peaks Nature Reserve, Mount Imlay National Park and Yurammie State Conservation Area.
