Covering an area of 6,796 hectares the Capertee National Park protects a range of vegetation communities including habitat for threatened woodland birds, and is one of the last known breeding areas for the critically endangered regent honeyeater.
The plan of management will guide the protection and management of the parks’ values including threatened species and communities and significant Aboriginal cultural values. The plan supports sustainable visitor use by enabling opportunities and facilities for nature-based recreational activities that allow visitors to appreciate and enjoy the park values.
This plan should be read in conjunction with the Capertee National Park planning considerations.
