This park was formerly Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve and became a national park in October 2010. Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve was the first nature reserve declared on the north coast and is located between the town of Port Macquarie and the village of Crescent Head. It covers an area of 9,123 hectares.
