The Minister for Climate Change and the Environment adopted the following amendments to the Narran Lake Nature Reserve Plan of Management (2000) on 17 February 2011. It should be noted that all access to Narran Lake Nature Reserve will still require prior permission from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service Area Office.

In March 2012 the NSW Government created Dharawal National Park to provide enhanced protection for this naturally and culturally significant area. This was achieved through recategorising the majority of the former Dharawal State Conservation Area.

The Tweed Caldera National Parks and Nature Reserves encompasses Wollumbin (formerly Mount Warning), Border Ranges, Mebbin, Nightcap, Goonengerry and Mount Jerusalem National Parks and Limpinwood, Numinbah and Snows Gully Nature Reserves. These amendments affect Nightcap National Park only and have been prepared cognisant of the need for complementary and integrated management of Nightcap National Park with the adjacent, more recently reserved, Whian Whian State Conservation Area.

Bagul Waajaarr, Deer Vale and Muldiva Nature Reserves occur in close proximity to each other, north-west of the town of Dorrigo on the Dorrigo Plateau. Muldiva Nature Reserve was reserved in 1981 and covers an area of 10 hectares. Deer Vale Nature Reserve was reserved in 1985 and covers an area of 181 hectares. Bagul Waajaarr Nature Reserve was reserved in 1999 and is in two areas totalling 520 hectares.
